HOW IT ALL STARTED

THE BIRTH OF RAWINVITES

Let’s be honest: planning a wedding or an event is not like in the movies.

It’s tiring, time-consuming and stressful (to say the least).

When Urvi’s (the founder of RAWinvites) brother and my now sister-in-law, started planning their wedding, they wanted stationery that reflected their personalities (well, hers: bright and bubbly) they found this incredibly challenging as nothing caught their eye. They wanted something that would stand out and truly wow their guests. After months of researching they were on the verge of settling. So, being the graphic designer in the family, (I was currently working full time as Laura Ashley’s head designer) they asked (forced) me to design their Wedding Stationery. Turns out, creating something truly magical for them gave me immense joy. Seeing the look on their faces when they first saw their invitations was absolutely priceless.

Encouraged by this amazing experience, in 2015 I started designing for other couples who were in a similar situation, and now…
