Jatinder came to me with a very specific request: He is a huge fan of Mughal Art, he loves the prints, the patterns and the elegance of it. So was really keen to use that as the main inspiration theme throughout the Wedding Invitations. His fiance Jessica is from Trinidad and Tobago which is also where they are getting married, therefore he wanted to make sure his invitation design incorporated Mughal Art with Trinidad and Tobago elements, alongside bright and bold colours that represented both their personalities giving their invitations the personal factor they were after. When he first told me his requirements I knew this was going to be a challenge and that was what I loved so much about it. I did my research, looked into different way we could develop this concept and this design was a hit! Using the famous lotus Mughal pattern with their initials printed into them, to one of the most romantic palaces in India all the way through to adding feathers to represent what Trinidad is so well known for... bright colours and CARNIVAL! This was definitely one of my most favourite & challenging designs so far, it was an absolute pleasure to design and develop this piece for Jatinder and Samantha and I hope you both love it as much as I do!!
