Natalie and Thomas met while travelling and volunteering in Cambodia. Both of them had a passion for nature, and they wanted something that would stay with their guests long after the festivities were over.
When I met Nat and Tom, we talked a lot about the themes which were important to them both. Nat told me the story of how she fell in love with Tom’s passion for nature, and that gave me ideas of simple, earthy and authentic invites which not only showed Nat and Tom’s love for one another, but also connected their guests with nature.
Every invite was a custom design, created specifically for Nat and Tom. They wanted three different invites: Information about the wedding, the reception and an RSVP. I created a simple nature-themed design with a ‘boho-chic’ flare, using a floral motif on the front and a hand-drawn font to make the invites feel more authentic. In addition to the design, each invite was individually tied using coarse thread to give more of a rustic feel and as an extra little something, I also included sealed packs of seeds with the invites which could be planted at home to grow into living memories of Nat and Tom’s special day.
