A Bit About Me (The designer at RAWinvites)
My favourite book is The Mill on the Floss by G. Eliot and the best part is on page... no I'm just playing :P
Hey guys, I’m the designer behind RAWinvites. I’m a trained graphic designer with many years of experience in the industry.
‘Passionate’ and ‘enthusiastic’ are words that we would all like to use when it comes to describing ourselves. But it truly was passion that first drew me into the world of design, and which later on developed into a full-grown professional career. When I feel inspired, I start to sketch, brainstorm and experiment – I simply create at will. It never feels like ‘I’m putting in the hours’ when I’m working on a project. In the end, my passion is my job. And I think that’s pretty awesome!
I am based in London. But don't worry if you're not from London and would like my help. That’s exactly what emails, phones and Skype were invented for!
How It All Started
Let’s be honest: planning a wedding is not like in the movies. It’s tiring, time-consuming and stressful (to say the least). When my brother and my now sister-in-law, started planning their wedding, they wanted stationery that reflected their personalities (well, hers: bright and bubbly). They wanted something that would stand out from the average invitation. So, being the graphic designer in the family, they asked (forced) me to design their wedding stationery. Turns out, creating something truly magical for them gave me immense joy. Seeing the look on their faces when they first saw their invites was absolutely priceless. Encouraged by this amazing experience, I then started designing for other couples who were in a similar situation, and now... (I still can’t believe it) I run RAWinvites full-time!
